One or Two things about Huawei Technologies

     Some of you may have heard about Huawei (The people who use RCS/RDS mobile phones surely know what i'm talking about).The fact is, Huawei Technologies is  the largest networking and telecommunications equipment supplier in the People's Republic of China. It is headquartered in Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong.

   Established in 1988 by Ren Zhengfei, Huawei Technologies is a private high-tech enterprise which specializes in research and development (R&D), production and marketing of communications equipment, and providing customized network services for telecom carriers.Huawei serves 45 of the top 50 telecoms operators and puts 10 per cent of revenue into R&D each year. In addition to the R&D centers in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Xi'an,Chengdu, and Wuhan in China, Huawei also has R&D centers in Stockholm, Sweden; Dallas and Silicon Valley, U.S.; Bangalore, India; Ferbane in Offaly, Ireland; Moscow, Russia; Jakarta,Indonesia; and Wijchen, Netherlands.

       Huawei has within a short period of time seen a rise to become the world No. 2 company in the mobile equipment industry behind Ericsson.

      Now, they wish to adopt another model of development, the "green" model, so to speak.An american economist said that "Energy conservation and emission reduction are not just about fulfilling social responsibilities and helping improve the environment. It also allows enterprises to better control operating costs, thus improving their profitability and competitiveness directly.", and right he was.

       One month ago, Huawei made things clear through one of their representatives, which stated:" We aim to produce greener network and achieve the goal of "Green commutation, green Huawei, Green world".

       To put it in a nutshell, Huawei is the biggest tellecomunication equipment supplier in China, which now aims to produce much more in a much more environment-friendly way.Other firms should just as well follow in Huawei's steps, shouldn't they?:)
